Beginner Lessons

The club organizes lessons from time to time. Members with their own equipment also get together for informal group paddles throughout the season.

Our first event will be a Level 1 sea kayaking course. Open to anyone age 16+, the event will take place at the boat club on June 18th and 19th. The cost is $120 for members. Non-members are also welcome at a rate of $150. To register, please create an account and a personal profile within that account at

Guided Paddles

The club will hold guided paddles of the harbour Wednesday evenings from June 22 until July 27th, from 6-8:30pm. All gear and kayaks are provided and events are open to everyone in the community. Space is limited so all participants are asked to sign up on Further details are also available on the SportHub website. These events are free of charge thanks in large part to our volunteer guides. Childcare (over 3 yrs) and transportation are available.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

With it's protected waters, many shallow coves and charming islands, Antigonish Harbour is a perfect place to hone your paddle boarding skills. In 2018 and 2019, we hosted 2 demonstration days. Please follow our Facebook page for news of this season's events.
