Sailing in Antigonish Habour

The sheltered waters and endless coastal beauty offer a perfect location for sailing for all but the largest of craft . Protection from St George's bay makes the harbor a great setting-off point for smaller craft, whether day-sailing or exploring the local coastline. Warm waters in the summertime prove favorable for the more adventurous experiences that involve getting wet.

Sailing Instruction for Children

Every year the club coordinates with Sail Nova Scotia to host their Mobile Sailing School. Lessons are tailored for children aged 8-12. This year the children will learn to sail in Laser Picos, new two-person boats acquired by the Mobile Sailing School.

  • 2022 Lessons dates are July 11-15. Please register through sporthub.

Adult Instruction

As opportunity arises, the club facilitates sailing lessons for adults and teens.

  • For the past several years the club has offered adult sailing lessons using our small fleet of CL11 boats. We expect to be able to offer limited lessons in 2022 piggybacking on the mobile sailing school for youth.

  • We are currently organizing these lessons, to run Tues-Thurs evening (2.5 hours per day) July 12-15th. Lessons will be at the beginner level. Please contact the club to indicate your interest.
